The Sheffield City Region (SCR) Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has launched a search for a second Vice-Chair.

The LEP is recruiting a second Vice-Chair who can help to shape the economic strategy with a focus on delivery and will join other senior business leaders, the Mayor and council Leaders on the LEP Board.

The role of the Vice Chairs is to support the Chair in his duties representing the SCR LEP and deputising when necessary.  The Vice-Chair will act as an ambassador for the Sheffield City Region and will champion projects regionally and nationally.

James Muir, Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership Chairman, said: “This is an important time for the LEP. We are currently driving forward work on a revised Strategic Economic Plan and, with the Mayor, we are supporting producing the City Region’s first Local Industrial Strategy.

“We also have an ambitious vision to develop a Global Innovation Corridor that will become a national and international magnet for people, industry and innovators.

“Our LEP Board reflects the diversity of the Sheffield City Region in the broadest sense. LEP Board members come from different backgrounds across the nine local authority districts and offer a breadth of industry knowledge and expertise. I am keen to hear from people that can build on this diversity.”

The deadline for applications is Friday 9th August 2019. For more information, please visit https://sheffieldcityregion.org.uk/lepboardrecruitment/
