A Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire health trust is simply the best when it comes to equality, diversity and inclusion … and way above average in nine other categories in this year’s NHS staff survey.

Staff from Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) who took part in the survey gave the Trust a big thumbs up and put the organisation above average when it comes to:

  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Immediate managers
  • Morale
  • Quality of care
  • Safe environment – regarding bullying and harassment
  • Safe environment – regarding violence
  • Safety culture
  • Staff engagement
  • Team working.

In fact in many of the categories RDaSH was only a fraction off ranking with the best.

The only category the health trust was just below average is in the quality of appraisals – and was only 0.1% lower than the average scores!

Kathryn Singh, Chief Executive, said: “I want to thank all of our staff who took part in the survey. It’s excellent to see that we are ranking above average in most categories and the best in one.  We’re also not far off being the best in several other categories.

“I believe the Trust is a great place to work and I’m pleased staff have given us these fabulous results.

“As always, I want to thank our staff for all that they do at RDaSH.  The hard work they do is always appreciated, not only by myself, the Board of Directors and the Executive Management Team but by the patients we care for, as well as their families and carers.”
