Hentons has appointed Tim Baum-Dixon as a partner to lead the expansion of its Sheffield office and development of its digital services across the business.

Tim recently joined Hentons from South Yorkshire accountants Shorts and prior to that was at Grant Thornton in a similar role. He also leads business development across the company’s national network of offices.

The firm’s expansion will also see two new partners appointed across its national network. David Walker will manage the York office and Simon Roberts will manage a team of experienced tax advisors across the firm's UK network of offices from its headquarters in Leeds.

Hentons recently announced plans to expand its Sheffield operation by creating a national hub for digital excellence. The firm moved to larger offices in the Kollider technology hub at Castle House in Sheffield and is seeking to expand its team.

The Sheffield team includes a wide range of skills from management accountants to independent financial advisors. It is also home to a growing digital team that uses the latest technology to create management information platforms for businesses.

Commenting on the move, Tim Baum-Dixon, partner of Hentons in Sheffield, said: "At Hentons we have invested to give companies of all sizes access to the latest technology to ensure they have the tools they need to navigate an ever-changing market. Our digital approach is backed by experienced teams that span everything from payroll services to tax advice and mergers and acquisitions.”

Hentons has extensive experience in helping companies fund innovation and growth with the help of the government's R&D tax credits and creative industry tax reliefs scheme.
