The Sheffield Sustainability Network (SSN) is holding its first online networking event on Thursday 20 August.
SSN was initiated by a small group of professionals and launched earlier this year as a way to connect businesses and charities who want to contribute to a greener and fairer city. The Network is a space to share resources, ideas and experiences of ways to put sustainability at the chore of business success.
On Thursday 20th August at 4pm the Network will hold its first online networking event. The event will start with an update from Rob Cole of the SSN Steering Group on the “behind the scenes” work the network’s steering committee and working groups have been doing since the February 2020 launch.
Next, Emma Knight-Strong, member of the SSN Steering Group and owner of Green Arch Consulting will share ideas to help businesses and other organisations identify aspects of sustainability where they are already doing well, and areas in which they might benefit from more knowledge.
The second half of the event will be all about informal networking and a chance for attendees to share their thoughts on small changes that their business or organisation could make (or has already made) to be more sustainable. This will be a great opportunity to swap ideas and connect with other members of the Sheffield Sustainability Network. This event aims to be a relaxed, informal and inclusive affair so attendees are encouraged to log on to Zoom with drinks and nibbles on hand.
