The Sheffield branch of international law firm CMS pulled out all the stops in their fundraising last year, raising an amazing £18,042.93 for local youth homeless charity, Roundabout.

With employees from all departments getting involved, there were a range of fun activities from hikes and cycling events to buying sweets to raise money; as well as the opportunity to be hands on, helping to decorate at one of Roundabout’s Doncaster properties.

One of the standout fundraising events was the CMS Fest, hosted by the firm’s trainees, which raised a fantastic £6,781.82.

Tracey Marsden, partner at CMS said: “We were so proud of the trainees who managed this event themselves, engaging a huge number of staff, and raising an incredible amount for this local charity which really engaged us all.”

Eleven of the staff also took part in Roundabout’s Sleep Out event in November and managed to raise £6,300 just from this one event.  Helen Mower, Head of Fundraising at Roundabout said: “This is our flagship annual event, and really makes people think about the harsh realities of being homeless.  While we can’t start to replicate what this is like, just sleeping for one night on a cold warehouse floor makes you think differently about this situation. We were thrilled so many of the team from CMS took part, and I know it made a big impression on all of them.

“We’re incredibly grateful for their support in so many ways throughout the year.  Roundabout now supports over 250 young people every single day who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and the support of CMS will help us to continue to make a positive impact on every one of these young people.”
