Doncaster’s Frenchgate Shopping Centre is inspiring shoppers to discover their creative side and share positive messages with loved ones through the launch of its Happiness app.

As part of its Happy Movement campaign, Frenchgate is inviting customers to create a free eCard through the app which can be sent with the intention of putting a smile on someone’s face. Users of the app can also choose to be entered into a prize draw to win a gift card worth £500.

Tablets are available throughout Frenchgate, with one located outside Debenhams and two outside Deichman, providing shoppers with access to the app. Alternatively, cards can be created via the link on the Frenchgate website.

Karen Staniforth, Assistant General Manager at Frenchgate, said: “The Happiness app is another exciting element of the Happiness Movement where visitors can create a card, add a personalised note and share a positive message. The eCards are multi versatile so they can be sent to email addresses as well as downloaded as JPG Images or sizes suitable for a social media platform of the customer’s choice - Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

“We love that the community are sharing what makes them happy, so we are excited to reward one lucky person with a £500 gift card. We hope that this will be a great incentive for shoppers to use the app and show some appreciation across Doncaster.”

Visitors can share a card with friends, family and colleagues for all occasions including weddings, anniversaries and birthdays, or they may want to share a card simply to make someone’s day.

Cards can be personalised with a variety of colours and icons including a butterfly, a coffee cup, a piece of cake, a planet, a lipstick, a football and many more.

This is the latest in a series of initiatives for Frenchgate’s Happiness Movement. The Centre is promoting positivity in all forms including the launch of a happy manifesto, a Happiness Festival, free happy activities and competitions.
