Leading Sheffield-based law firm Keebles LLP will host an event to celebrate the launch of its dedicated In-House Lawyer Network, K:IN.
Taking place at the AMP Technology Centre in Rotherham on Wednesday, November 27, the event is an opportunity for existing in-house lawyers to network with local peers and receive advice on their professional development.
Following a welcome presentation by Keebles Partner Matt Ainsworth, the firm’s Legal Director Carys Thompson will introduce the K:IN network and share insights into how it will work.
Matt Ainsworth said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of K:IN, a project our team are extremely proud of.
“Our hugely experienced team works with legal counsel across a broad range of industries and understand these distinct challenges. Several Keebles employees have previously worked in in-house roles throughout their careers so there is a real knowledge within our firm.”
As an industry leader, Keebles works alongside and supports many in-house legal teams in Sheffield and beyond. An in-house legal team is unique within the industry and is often balancing several roles and responsibilities and typically managing these within a tight budget.
Paul Gilbert, Chief Executive at LBC Wise Counsel – which works with in-house legal teams and General Counsel around the world – will be the guest speaker at the event.
Previous clients at LBC Wise Counsel include international energy conglomerates, global life sciences teams and major banks, as well as a range of FTSE and smaller UK teams.
Paul has lectured in the US, South Africa and across Europe. He has written six books and published over 150 articles. A former Trustee of LawWorks, Paul has been a Law Society Council member where he represented the in-house sector.
Matt added: “Our team will receive invaluable knowledge from Paul, who is known for his ability to accelerate personal development, improve team effectiveness and develop legal services strategies.
“He will provide great insight on impactful one-to-one mentoring, career counselling, supporting the strategic purpose and operational efficiency of in-house teams, and on designing and delivering residential skills development and leadership programmes.”
The free-ticketed launch event of K:IN will take place on Wednesday 27 November at the AMP Technology Centre in Rotherham, 3:30pm – 6:30pm.
