Sheffield150 is bringing together young people from across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield to address the challenge: “How do we act together to transform the region into a cleaner, greener place for all by 2043?”

Run online, across four days in June, it is an opportunity to work with other young people, develop skills, meet established Sheffield City Region leaders and tackle a real social challenge facing the region.

Zoya Stott, Project Manager – UK Legacy Programmes at Common Purpose UK, said: “Our ambition is to have a group of 100 young people on the programme from across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.

“This is a great opportunity for them to join a generation of change makers to shape the future of the Sheffield City Region.

“Sheffield City Region Mayor Dan Jarvis will be opening the programme and SCR Active Travel Commissioner Dame Sarah Storey  will be closing the programme.”
