The incredible £3,000 government grant for organisations that take on a new employee and train them through an apprenticeship is coming to an end.

You can claim the grant for any employee who joined you between 1 October and 31 January provided you train them through an apprenticeship programme.

It is in addition to the existing £1,000 grant for taking on a 16-18 year old so you could be missing out on £4,000 of additional cashflow to support your new employee in whatever way you choose (wages, laptop, travel expenses, covering supervisory staffing costs etc.). the incentive is paid in two instalments over 12 months.

Your staff member must have joined up to 31 January, you then have until March to register them onto an Apprenticeship.

Our team are available to advise further. Please get in touch if you would like to explore any potential staff members who have joined since October, or are joining this month and would benefit from an apprenticeship in AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or Tax.
