Customer relationship manager provider Airship Ltd has found itself at the centre of the nation’s effort to rejuvenate the hospitality industry during COVID-19. The team tell unLTD about being ‘at the forefront of the force’
Sheffield-based Airship Ltd works with some of the leading hospitality outlets in the UK.
The company offers innovative technology that brings together data from different sources to help operators understand more about their customers and their visiting habits.
The business has seen significant growth following a £500,000 investment from NPIF (managed by Mercia Asset Management PLC) in October 2019.

Following the announcement from Prime Minister Boris Johnson of a national lockdown in March 2020, Airship CEO Dan Brookman launched Airship’s own track and trace service – trck.to – with some of the proceeds going towards giving back to the industry.
“When Boris announced that hospitality would reopen in July, we quickly realised we needed to design and launch a track and trace system,” he said.
“We ended up rolling that out to 360 customers, across 11,000 locations and we checked in 23 million people through that platform – making it the number one track and trace service outside the NHS.
“Airship has always been very supportive to the sector, and a sector charity called Hospitality Action. What this charity does is provide small grants to people who are really on the brink, to help them pay rent or to find accommodation.
“Airship donated £5,000 to them as a one-off and then will arrange a final settlement with them in June this year, as the sector reopens – this will be for a further 20 per cent of licenses that we've collected.”
Following a tumultuous year for many, Airship is at the forefront of the force behind reigniting the hospitality sector.
