At Brook, following a template is not how we work. We don’t believe that is the best way to get results for our clients, which is why everything we do is tailored to each client’s specific needs.

If the client has a desire to train their staff to run the intervention themselves rather than having a consultant come in, that’s where our training services are most valuable.

Our courses are wide-ranging, with everything from strategic planning, leadership and HR to sales, ISO fundamentals and sustainability offered to clients depending on what they need.

Our training programmes don’t include mandatory modules or certified qualifications. One reason for going through the process of identifying the client’s needs is so that we can put together a bespoke training package to meet their requirements. In my experience this method means that the training doesn’t take as much time to complete and has a much higher impact.

The training is run by our team of specialist associate trainers who have a wealth of experience in these areas. However, we don’t use the same trainer for each area – we have several we can choose from, and we tailor which trainer we use to the client, depending on their experience in the sector the client operates in.

We have a skills matrix which we use to identify the right person with the right experience to deliver the training for each client.

A fundamental part of our training service is including case studies from previous businesses we have worked with. Providing examples of how other organisations have facilitated similar changes really adds value for the client and is another reason for selecting trainers with industry experience to provide the training.

Feedback from clients for this bespoke way of working has been positive, which is why we believe strongly that our method of business support gives the best results. Our quality management system shows that every client over the past five years have given us a rating of nine or above.

We have just launched a new identity for our delivery arms in Consultancy, Training and Retained packages, which aims to view each arm as a stand-alone service. Many business support providers see training and consultancy as services which overlap, but at Brook we believe they should have their own identity. We want both new and existing clients to understand that they don’t just come to us, get something and then the relationship ends. They go on a journey with us, and we want to make sure we provide as much support as we possibly can all the way through.
