The South Yorkshire business community came together tonight (5th December) to make the return of the unLTD Business Awards a huge success.
The glittering event, held at Peddler Warehouse in Sheffield and hosted by Britain’s Got Talent Finalist and popular comedian Markus Birdman, saw hundreds of people gather together to honour the companies and individuals making waves on the regional business scene.
Revellers enjoyed a fun-packed night of entertainment, including live music and mouth-watering food from Sheffield-based caterers PJ Taste.
The big winners on the night were Evoluted, Gameshow Allstars, and Surface Prep UK who all picked up two awards.
Evoluted, a multi-award-winning digital marketing agency who provide client-first, value-driven, digital marketing solutions, triumphed in the Creative Business of the Year category, as well as scooping the prestigious Business of the Year award, chosen by our headline sponsor Millgate, and hand-picked from all of the night’s winners.
The UK’s first of its kind TV Gameshow Activity bar, Gameshow Allstars bagged the Best Nightlife or Hospitality Business and the Best Business Start Up awards, while Surface Prep UK, a supplier and manufacturer of abrasive blasting equipment and abrasives, lead the way in the Manufacturing Company of the Year and Best Medium-sized Business categories.
There were more than 130 applications submitted, with each category whittled down to a shortlist of the three best entries and the overall winners announced on the night.
The awards were judged by a number of high-profile businesspeople and experts from across the region, who said the quality of applications was extremely high.
Phil Turner, publisher of unLTD, added: “After the huge success of our first awards last year, it was awe-inspiring to see a whole new raft of South Yorkshire’s finest SMEs rewarded this year.
“unLTD has become the go-to brand for SMEs to make their voices heard in the region, and tonight was our way of saying thank you and well done. It’s so important we champion our small businesses; in particular the owners, entrepreneurs and people that run them, for driving the local economy forward.
“Well done to everyone who was shortlisted and in particular, all our winners tonight.”
