Car parking company APCOA and its customers have raised almost £1,000 for St Luke’s Hospice.

The company has launched a special partnership between its Eyre Street, Sheffield (The Moor) car park site and the city’s only hospice, which started with a day of free parking.

Now the relationship is continuing, with APCOA providing St Luke’s with regular donations.

The company is also allowing the charity to feature St Luke’s branding and resources throughout the car park and will, in addition, be supporting the fourth St Luke’s Night Strider event on October 6.

“We are proud to be supporting such a valuable Sheffield cause”, said APCOA’s Sheffield Team Leader Robin Walters.

“It is fantastic that our weekend customers can know they are making a difference to their local community whilst parking with us.”

St Luke’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Jack Kidder added: “This is a partnership that takes us right to the heart of the city.

“We thank APCOA for this imaginative approach to fundraising and we look forward to maintaining an excellent working relationship with them throughout the coming months.”
