More than 300 children from schools across the city are performing outside one of the city’s most iconic buildings, 3 St Paul’s Place, on Friday 28 September to display their musical talent.
A range of schools will be taking part in the free Sheffield Music Hub supported-event Sheffield Makes Music close to the Peace Gardens from 1:30pm.
The event is free of charge and is in partnership with Sheffield Makes Music.
Councillor Jayne Dunn, cabinet member for education at Sheffield City Council, said: “Anyone who attended the Sheffield Music Hub event at Yellow Arch over the summer will testify to how talented pupils at our schools are.
“This will be another great opportunity for hundreds of pupils to perform in public.”
Laura Steelyard, Music Leader at Sheffield Music Hub, said:
“Sheffield Music Hub aims to provide musical experiences for every child in Sheffield, wherever they are from, and whoever they may be.
So come along to this amazing performance and contribute to a fabulous atmosphere that we hope will inspire even more children to start making music.”
Sheffield Music Hub provides musical education for children in Sheffield regardless of their background, including lessons in singing and instruments alongside a wide range of Sing and Play music groups for children of all levels of ability.

The schools in attendance will include Springfield Primary, Stannington Nursery Infants, Waterthorpe Nursery Infants, Angram Bank Primary, Byron Wood Primary, Nether Green Primary and Mosborough Primary.
