One of Sheffield’s largest independent operators is hoping a brand new showcase featuring some of the region’s top musicians will tempt live music fans for an early Friday night drink and keep the city buzzing after work.
Cubana’s new Friday Night Live sessions will start at 6.30pm and take place in its downstairs cocktail bar.
The event is set to start this Friday, November 16th, with renowned soul/blues/jazz performer Shane Durant. He’ll be making his Cubana debut with his unique mix of old classic songs and contemporary favourites.
Each live music event will be completely free.
Former Sharp Cuts frontman Shaun McLoughlin will perform the following week (November 23rd).
Celebrated Sheffield singer/songwriter/musician Julian Jones will complete the month on Friday, November 30th. He’ll be entertaining the audience with a repertoire that spans indie/country/soulful pop/jazz and more.
Cubana’s Adrian Bagnoli said: “There have been a lot of moves to keep the city centre buzzing after work and we believe it’s the right time to offer a Friday, early evening live music session. We’ve got a fantastic line-up of talent – and it’s all for free!”
