One of the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure contractors, VolkerRail has become a patron member of Doncaster Chamber to facilitate good business links and opportunities in the town.

The new partnership will enable them to facilitate good business links and opportunities in Doncaster and the wider business community and to grow their reputation as a leading provider of infrastructure services to the rail industry and its supply chain.

VolkerRail has over 80 years’ experience in both the heavy and light rail infrastructure sectors. They employ circa 1000 people in the UK with 160 based in their new head office at J3 Business Park in Doncaster.

A wide range of skilled personnel cover  every aspect of rail infrastructure works including: permanent way maintenance and track renewal; signalling design, install and testing; electrification design and installation and lineside equipment renewals. A team is currently working on the new conceptual Tram Train project linking Meadowhall to Parkgate.

Doncaster Chamber has over 700 business members and 19 Patron members spanning a range of sizes and sectors including Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Polypipe and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
