Doncaster Businesses not only helped to gain a snapshot of sentiment on current issues that impact on the local economy by completing the survey but also helped raise funds for local charity Adwick Park Community and Sports.
Councillor John Mounsey said: “This donation is gratefully received and will support the continued project of raising funds for a much needed community building in Adwick Park. The building will accommodate a sports section, café and meeting rooms allowing the community to hold various groups.
"We want to give our young ones a place to learn, from arts and drama to social skills. We want to create a real community hub! This donation is a fantastic example of how our Doncaster Chamber of Commerce is more than ready to assist in advising and supporting our communities.”
Dan Fell CEO Doncaster Chamber said: “The Chamber is delighted to support Adwick Park Community and Sports with this donation. Community engagement and encouraging sporting participation has never been more important. This organisation is helping to bring potentially isolated people together and encouraging people to be active and healthy; two things that are really important as Doncaster’ begins the long journey to Covid-19 recovery.
“Each quarter the Chamber asks businesses how they are fairing in the current economic climate with the results informing not just local business support and economic planning, but national strategies too with the results being shared with the Bank of England and Treasury.
"In addition to helping the Chamber and its partners better support the local business community, each completed survey also equals £1 for charity and therefore directly supports great work in Doncaster’s communities too. We would therefore encourage all local firms to complete the Doncaster Business Insight survey when asked to do so.”
