Doncaster Chamber has appointed Jill Wood of Signum Facilities Management as Vice President of the Board of Directors.

The Chamber represents Doncaster’s private sector with business growth through providing a range of services and benefits and works to lobby local and national government about key issues .

Dan Fell, CEO of Doncaster Chamber said: “Jill is a fantastic advocate of the Chamber’s work with the education sector as well as being a great champion for Doncaster’s SME business community.

“I look forward to working closely with Jill and the Chamber’s President Mike Wilkinson, of Frog Education, in the coming months and years to deliver a growing Chamber that welcomes as many local businesses into membership as possible whilst continuing to drive positive change across our borough.”

Signum is a fully integrated facilities management business based in Doncaster and has been a member of the Chamber since the firm’s first year in business in 2012.  The company chose to join initially for the networking opportunities but has gone on to access a wide range of business services to support continuing growth.

Managing director Jill said: “I have been really impressed with the achievements of the Chamber since joining the Board in 2014 – particularly the campaign work around bringing the National College for High Speed Rail and a University Technical College to Doncaster.

“When you spend your days working within your own sector it’s easy to lose sight of what’s happening in your local economy and it’s important that the Doncaster business community understands the whole value of Chamber membership.

“Active members are the key to a successful Chamber and working alongside Dan and the team I hope that, as Vice President and eventually as President, I can help to raise the profile of Doncaster Chamber and the value of membership.”
