Doncaster Chamber CEO Dan Fell will bang the drum for regional aviation and economic development at the Heathrow National Conference on 8 February in London. He will chair a panel discussion on ‘Building a gateway to the UK: Tourism & Growth’ with representatives from national tourism and aviation organisations including Visit Britain and ABTA.
This panel will discuss options to help boost tourism and growth across the UK, making the most of Heathrow’s opportunity to showcase the best of British landmarks. Doncaster and the wider region has a strong travel and tourism offer with strong aviation, road, rail and water links, a rich cultural heritage and award winning attractions.
Doncaster Chamber has a strong working relationship with the UK’s largest airport having brought over 100 business leaders to meet with Heathrow and their supply chains at Yorkshire’s only Heathrow Business Summit in October 2018. Doncaster Chamber worked in partnership with Heathrow Airport to facilitate the connections with the Airport’s procurement team and principal suppliers and open up an array of national business opportunities.
Doncaster Chamber has for a long time been a vocal champion of supporting and growing the UK’s airports including Heathrow and Doncaster Sheffield Airport which support local tourism, its associated supply chains and the economy.
The conference, hosted by the UK’s hub airport, will provide an opportunity to evidence the tangible link between major national infrastructure projects and supply chain opportunities for local SMEs.
