Shoosmiths LLP, an award-winning UK law firm with offices across several major cities in the country, is now operating in Sheffield’s thriving cultural industries quarter.
The full-service law firm has become the latest tenant at City Estates’ Speedwell Works development on Sidney Street in Sheffield. The project is regenerating previously derelict cutlery factories in the heart of the city’s cultural industries quarter.
Thomas Hall, head of the Shoosmiths Sheffield Team, said: “We love being part of the regeneration of this part of Sheffield, and the Speedwell Works development very much reflects our innovative brand. Being here will allow us to build on our increasing profile in the region and to better serve our numerous clients in the area.
“We are very committed to Sheffield and working with the real estate sector in the region. It has only been made possible through the use of our unique and innovative Shoosmiths Agile platform, which makes it easier for our people to work effectively in various locations.”
“This approach, coupled with the outstanding feedback we’ve received from our clients means we are on the right track in our efforts to develop Shoosmiths in the area, and to be able to offer the client service we are famous for to our existing and future client base.”
Dale Fixter, director at City Estates, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Shoosmiths as our latest commercial tenant at the fantastic Speedwell Works development. We hope this is the start of a long, healthy relationship with another of the region’s industry leaders in its respective sector.
“We’re very proud of the Speedwell Works development and the wider Alsop Fields project, and are delighted at its impact in Sheffield’s cultural industries quarter. We look forward to further enhancing what is fast becoming one of Sheffield’s most vibrant areas.”
