Doncaster Chamber has reacted to further easing of lockdown, testing and other measures announced by the Government to balance economic reopening whilst managing COVID-19 transmission.

Business Director Jade Dyer said: “The news on regular testing, vaccine certification, and border policy give conceptual insight into how the economy may be able to reopen and stay open safely. Many businesses will be breathing a sigh of relief to reopen on April 12, but the route back to a full reopening of the economy is a long way off yet.

“Whilst for now the hospitality setting will have to be outdoors, we look forward to welcoming back visitors, demonstrating effective safety measures in place and reminding people what they’ve been missing.”
