Frenchgate Shopping Centre is hosting a ‘spooktacular’ Halloween event with an array of haunting activities on offer for the whole family to enjoy.
Customers will be treated to a range of free activities to keep children busy in the school holidays. The ‘Cursed Castle’ Halloween event will take place for one-day only on the 29th October, from 11am – 4pm, followed by a two-day event hosted by Sheffield Hallam University on the 30th and 31st October between 10am – 3pm.
For those who fancy a fright, the ‘Cursed Castle’ will provide a chilling surprise inside. Shoppers who dare to enter will get to decide for themselves if it is an illusion, puppetry or even magic.
Entertainment will include a ‘Wizard Magician’ and a ‘Balloon Modeller’ as well as a ‘Trick or Treat Design Workshop’ - great for stashing away plenty of sweets.
A ‘Glitter Tattooist’ will also be on hand where children can choose to get into the spooky spirit with a scary design and the ‘Cursed Castle’ event will be giving away an assortment of delicious sweet treats to selected lucky winners.
Sheffield Hallam University will be running a wide a mixture of ‘fangtastic’ workshops from creating Halloween themed bunting, paper lanterns and lava lamps to monster thumb print keyrings -children and parents can get involved with a selection of arts and crafts.
Karen Staniforth, Assistant General Manager of Frenchgate, said: “We understand how difficult it can be to entertain children during the half term holidays, so we wanted to bring events to the centre that provide fun for everyone.
“We are excited to offer these free activities and workshops for a limited period to get children and parents in the mood for Halloween whilst also providing lots of joy for the local community.”
The events will be taking place in the Upper North Mall outside of Debenhams during the October half term.
