A Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire health trust has been shortlisted in the Best Diversity and Inclusion Practice category at the 2020 Nursing Times Workforce Awards.

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) emerged as a finalist in the Best Diversity and Inclusion Practice category for their work on building staff networks.  The three networks are for staff who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, those who are disabled or have a long term health condition, staff who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Trans and allies of all groups.

“Congratulations to all our shortlisted entrants and thank you to everyone who entered the 2020 Nursing Times Workforce Awards,” said Nursing Times editor, Steve Ford.

“Since we began the awards in 2018, I have been increasingly impressed with the great work and innovation being done across the UK by nurses and their organisations to support the nursing workforce.

“Already under pressure, nursing staff are now facing the huge challenge of tackling Covid-19 and its implications. This year, more than ever, we must encourage and share successful workforce initiatives.”

Entering their third year, the Nursing Times Workforce Awards highlight and reward innovation in workforce planning and management and will be held on Wednesday 2 December 2020.
