Asian food and product importers Sushi Sushi have expanded into larger warehouse premises at a North Sheffield business park
The 10-year-old company, which supplies Japanese and Asian food, drinks, packaging, tableware, kitchenware, and merchandise to customers across the UK, was formerly based in Mapplewell in Barnsley, and has taken 3,000 sq ft at the newly developed £2.5m Winston Business Park.
The company, which has served more than 90,000 customers since it started operations in 2008, employs 10 staff and with the move to the estate on Churchill Way at J35a of the M1 they anticipate further expansion.
It joins cutting edge chartered building company Neways who took 6,239 sq ft at the estate, which was acquired and developed by investor Grayson Investments Ltd, for its new Chapeltown headquarters late last year.
Stuart Turner from Sushi Sushi said: “Winston was the perfect solution for us. It was an ideal location for staff and distribution. Furthermore, we deal with many high end restaurants and the image of Winston was an important tick in that box.”
A further three new units are currently under offer leaving just three units available from 3,044 sqft – 3,337 sq ft and these can be combined to provide one single unit of 6,674 sq ft.
John Jarman at Knight Frank in Sheffield, said: “The first two lettings by Sushi Sushi and Neways have completed and a further three units are under offer.
“Winston Business Park sits in an established commercial location in north Sheffield forming part of Junction 35a Business Park which already boasts occupiers including South Yorkshire Police, Britglass and Linbrook Services.
“It also adjoins the established Thorncliffe Business Park, which is one of the region’s largest out of town business parks and also home to a mixture of office and industrial occupiers including Balfour Beatty and B Braun.
“The development at Winston Business Park offers new, high quality units designed with flexibility to suit the needs of a variety of incoming occupiers and provide much needed stock in a strategic location near the M1.”
The premises offer high quality units which feature clad elevations, optional fitted offices, full height roller shutter loading access to the warehouse, connection to all main services and dedicated parking with shared loading areas.
The development fronts onto Churchill Way, which is accessed off Thorncliffe Road, offering easy access to Junctions 35a and 36 of the M1 via the A616.
