Description
AI is already reshaping entry-level roles, career pathways and how people develop skills – but what happens next?
As automation accelerates, many are questioning whether traditional starting points into work are disappearing. And if they are, how the next generation builds experience, confidence and leadership in a rapidly changing landscape.
This working lunch brings together business leaders and tech thinkers to explore what the future of work really looks like. Cutting through the noise, the session focuses on practical insights, honest discussion and the opportunities ahead.
We’ll be asking:
- Are junior roles actually disappearing, or simply evolving?
- What skills will matter in the next 10–20 years?
- Are we preparing people for the future – or for a world that no longer exists?
- And ultimately, what remains uniquely human in the workplace?
Rather than taking a doom-and-gloom view, this conversation centres on possibility. Like every major technological shift, AI is not just removing roles – it is reshaping them. The challenge lies in understanding where value moves next, and how people can adapt to stay ahead.
Panel includes:
- Paul Ridgway – Founder, The Curve
- Dan Kirkland – Co-founder, NED, tech advisor and AI postgraduate
- Kat Derbyshire – Black Kat HR
Alongside the discussion, there will be plenty of time to connect with fellow business leaders from across South Yorkshire, all in a relaxed setting with lunch included.
Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.
