Sheffield restaurant Raffina by Reece Elliott has appointed a General Manager and Sous Chef ahead of their opening on Friday 11 March 2022.
Raffina by Reece Elliott has appointed General Manager Josh Barnsley, who brings over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry. Josh spent almost five years at Chatsworth and The Devonshire Group as Resident Manager. He managed the company’s operations and ensured the delivery of the high standards of both food and service.
As the restaurant’s new General Manager, Josh will oversee the operations and processes, ensure a high standard of customer service, and maintain the restaurant’s general day-to-day running.
Also joining the team is Sous Chef Jamie Fullen, who boasts more than eight years of culinary experience. After spending more than two years cooking across Australia and helping to set up a range of restaurants, Jamie is experienced in serving high-quality food and working on new restaurant ventures.
Jamie also worked with the restaurant’s Head Chef, Reece Elliott, for three years at the three-rosette Cavendish Hotel in Baslow, Derbyshire.
Josh Barnsley said: “When the opportunity came up to work for Raffina by Reece Elliott, I knew I had to go for it. Reece and his team are passionate about delivering the highest standards for their diners, which I can’t wait to be involved in.
“I’ve always admired Raffina, and I love the building of the restaurant. We’re right in the heart of one of the most iconic areas of Sheffield and can’t wait to meet our diners and help provide them with an excellent experience.”
Jamie Fullen said: “When I heard about Reece’s new venture with Raffina, I knew I wanted to be involved. Reece is so passionate about serving the very best food, and it is inspiring to be a part of the same venture.
“Reece’s menu is fantastic, and I know people are already looking forward to enjoying his dishes. We can’t wait to open the doors to our first diners on Friday 11 March and show off what we’ve been creating behind the scenes.”
Head Chef Reece Elliott said: “I’m delighted to have both Jamie and Josh on board, and I’m so excited to go on our new culinary journey together.
“I have worked with Jamie for the last three years in my previous role, and I’ve worked with Josh in the past, so I know we’re going to make a great team.
“We all share the same values, and we have the same vision for Raffina. We believe in providing diners with an amazing experience every single time. That means perfecting the food cooked in the kitchen and ensuring each diner has an excellent experience each time they visit.”
Raffina by Reece Elliott is set to open on Friday 11 March and will offer a relaxed, refined dining experience and a vibrant atmosphere for people to enjoy.
Reece’s new menu will offer incredible Italian inspired food, delivered with a modern twist, using the highest quality ingredients.
The restaurant will be offering its new lunch and dinner menus Wednesday – Saturday. It will also be open for drinks and Italian inspired sweet and savoury treats from the bar throughout the day Monday to Saturday.
