A Sheffield recycling firm is celebrating after announcing a new partnership deal.
DJB Recycling Limited has signed a two-year deal with fashion company PRETTYLITTLETHING.com (PLT) to provide recycling services at their Shepcote Lane warehouse in the city.
The Effingham Lane-based DJB Recycling has installed two personalised, mill-sized, pink bailers for the new Sheffield PLT warehouse to recycle all of the clothing giant’s cardboard.
Darren Bland, managing director for DJB Recycling, said: “We are thrilled to partner with worldwide fashion company PRETTYLITTLETHING.com in Sheffield.
“The mill-sized bailers are designed to hold up to 500kg worth of cardboard and we have personalised them pink to go with the branding of the company.
“We are excited to start work with such a renowned business and can’t wait to start strengthening our relationship with the company.”
PLT has signed a five-year deal with Clipper Logistics to run the site and the two firms are sharing the multi-million costs of fitting it out with racking and automation.
DJB currently employs 31 people. On average the firm recycles 400 tonnes of cardboard and paper every week along with other recyclable materials such as plastic.
It also offers waste management solutions for companies and have worked closely with Wembley Arena for a number of years as well as providing the first ‘pay as you throw’ system for a wholesale market at London’s New Covent Garden Market.
