A Sheffield based lettings management company has expanded its team to manage the growing demand for quality student accommodation in the city.
West One Student Accommodation has taken on Lucy Everingham as lettings negotiator at its Ecclesall Road branch, as its portfolio of properties increases in Sheffield.
The company, which owns and manages several high-quality developments including Gatecrasher Apartments, Porterbrook Apartments and the award-winning Huttons Buildings, has witnessed a successful period in the run up to the new academic year.
Gatecrasher Apartments, which opened in September last year, is fully let from September this year and only a few properties remain at many of its other popular city developments.
Lucy (25) who lives in Crookes, will be responsible for generating new business, managing tenants’ requirements and dealing with the maintenance of the properties, including another new West One managed development – Porterbrook Apartments, located on Pear Street just off Ecclesall Road.
Lucy, who previously worked in lettings at well-known agency Reeds Rains in Sheffield, said: “I’m really pleased to have joined the West One Student Accommodation team. I’ve come on board at a really exciting and busy time, when the company’s new developments are proving incredibly popular so it’s great to be a part of it.”
Andrea Marsden, marketing and residential manager, said:
We’re delighted to welcome Lucy to the team. As we see the demand for high quality yet affordable student accommodation increase across Sheffield we have had to ensure we have the strongest team with the right skills and experience to manage our growing portfolio – and Lucy fits the bill.
“It’s fantastic to see our properties like Gatecrasher Apartments, which boast quality fixtures and fittings, affordable rent and excellent locations, proving so popular this academic year. More and more students are looking for this type of accommodation so it’s great we are able to provide it for them.”
West One Student Accommodation is part of Sheffield-based City Estates, which has also developed student flats and city centre residential developments in Glasgow, Nottingham Bradford and London and has a diverse nationwide investment portfolio.
The company is currently developing its latest scheme on Sidney Street, Sheffield – the £10 million Alsop Fields, which will be made up of luxury apartments and studios for both students and professionals, offices for the high tech and creative sectors and places to eat and drink.
