Barnsley Fashion Week is approaching and promises to be an exciting week of digital and in-person events, celebrating the local fashion scene.
Commencing with a program of industry round tables, Q&As with featured designers and workshops with industry professionals, all culminating in a fashion show, which will be held at The Metrodome on 27 October.
Brands, businesses, and designers will be showcasing their lines at the Headline Catwalk Show, with all designs being modelled on the catwalk by local people, providing a beautiful and honest reflection of the people of Barnsley and the surrounding areas.
The event is being sponsored by local businesses including Barnsley College, Burrows Toyota Barnsley, Burrows Kia Barnsley, Spirit Sisters, Mr & Mrs Yorkshire, and headline sponsors Clobber Swap.
Started in 2020 by founder Camile Johnson, Clobber Swap began as an online community of what is now over 8,000 women, all looking to refresh their wardrobes whilst being eco-conscious, swapping and selling their unwanted, quality clothes.
For a small monthly fee, members can enjoy revamping their looks without contributing to the devasting effects that fast fashion has on the planet, making Clobber Swap the perfect headline sponsor of Barnsley Fashion Week.
Tickets to the Headline Catwalk Show include Prosecco upon arrival, a seat to the Main Catwalk Event and a buffet-style meal. This is a charity event, organised by Barnsley Rockley Rotary Club. All profit raised will be donated BIADS and Marie Curie Hospice.
Barnsley Fashion Week will run from 23-27 October 2023, with the Headline Catwalk Show taking place on the final evening. To buy tickets, visit: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/barnsley-fashion-week-headline-catwalk-show-tickets
