Yorkshire law firm raises more than £8,000 for Breast Cancer Now
An impressive feat…
The Sheffield branch of leading Yorkshire based law firm Keebles LLP are celebrating after raising £8,323.17 in 2019 for Breast Cancer Now, the research and care charity. The office’s chosen charity of the year.
Keebles raised the money in honour of Partner Vanessa Fox who sadly passed away last year.
As well as raising an impressive £1,085 by taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in September. The firm held several other fundraising events and raffles to raise money.
The money raised will enable the charity to continue to fund world-class research and life-changing care for anyone affected by breast cancer, providing support for today and hope for the future.
Michele Wightman, Partner at Keebles, said: “We are delighted to have been able to raise such a significant amount of money for such a worthy charity as Breast Cancer Now. We’re also honoured to have raised funds that meant so much to Vanessa.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us in our fundraising efforts, and we look forward to raising even more in 2020.”
Emily Beahan, Community Fundraising Manager at Breast Cancer Now, said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Keebles and its staff for their unwavering support and enthusiasm throughout 2019.
“Despite decades of progress in research and care, around 11,500 women and 80 men still die from the breast cancer every year in the UK, with hundreds of thousands more living with the devastating, long-term physical and emotional impacts of the disease.
“Keebles’ donations will enable us to continue our vital work and help us get one step closer to our ambition that, by 2050, everyone diagnosed with the breast cancer lives – and is supported to live well. Every pound, every hour, every action will help us to get there. Thank you to Keebles for their on-going support and we look forward to working together in 2020!”
