Sheffield Futures will be holding its annual charity benefit on Friday 22nd March with Lord Mayor Magid Magid. Funds raised during the evening will enable completion of the Health Zone at Star House in Sheffield city centre, a dedicated emotional and physical health care space for the increasing number of young people in need.
“With emotional health and wellbeing issues on the rise nationally for young people there has never been a more important time to invest in specialist preventative services that throw a life line for our young people,” said Gail Gibbons, CEO at Sheffield Futures.
“Sheffield Futures has received incredibly generous grant funding from the Department of Health and other local organisations and we are looking for much needed match funding to cover building costs, furnishing and more.’
‘We have seen very encouraging results from our Door 43 service so far and it’s really heartening to see the positive impact we’re having on the mental health and emotional wellbeing of Sheffield’s young people.”
The evening fundraiser will include a fizz and canape reception, a four course meal and a magician. A table for 10 people can be purchased for £500 and individual tickets are £50. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for organisations to purchase with all funds going towards the new health zone.
