The sales office for phase two of Park Hill drew in significant crowds at its launch, with prospective buyers from across the world queuing from 1.30am to be the first in line to purchase off-plan homes – to include one bed from £135,000, two bed from £160,000 and three bed from £195,000 – when they went on sale at 10am on 29 February.
The latest homes, designed by Stirling Prize winning architects Mikhail Riches, have worked to create a new style of living spaces that are slightly different in their configuration to those in phase one, while sympathetic to the original design and look.
The new phase of Park Hill, the award-winning joint venture between Urban Splash and Places for People will see a further 195 homes; 20,000 sq ft of mixed-use commercial space providing the opportunity for a variety of offices and workspaces – as well as a new cafe, restaurant and terrace.
Park Hill was constructed between 1957 and 1961 and its streets in the sky was seen as pioneering.
In total over £100 million will be invested in regenerating this Brutalist masterpiece and returning it into a key Sheffield destination.
The regeneration of Park Hill has won many property and community awards and was shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2013.
