Businesses across the region are invited to attend a free networking event to find out how they can get involved in the Prince’s Trust programme.
The informal event takes place on Thursday 17 October, 5.00pm to 6.30pm in The Open Kitchen, Barnsley College, Church Street, Barnsley, S70 2AX.
Attendees will hear from Michael Langley, Enterprise Executive at the Prince’s Trust, who will talk about the Prince’s Trust programme, how and why businesses should get involved. Jay Ashton, owner of Barnsley-based Bottle and Co, will be bringing some of his favourite craft beers and real ales and discussing what customers can expect when they visit the store.
Jess Widdowson, Enterprise Team Leader at Barnsley College, will speak about Talent United, the College’s employer engagement initiative, which aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, and how you can get involved! Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other businesses whilst enjoying complimentary refreshments, an ice-cold beer and canapés.
Jess said: “We look forward to welcoming all attendees to this event to enjoy light refreshments whilst hearing about how to get involved in two great programmes that will make a positive impact on a young person’s life.”
Places are limited, so businesses are being encouraged to book via Eventbrite. Alternatively, employers can reserve a place by contacting the Enterprise department on 01226 216 411 or by emailing talentunited@barnsley.ac.uk
