The Children’s Hospital Charity’s famous snowflakes will add a little extra Festive sparkle to Crystal Peaks this Christmas.
Every year, more than 250 sponsored snowflakes decorate the exterior of Sheffield Children’s Hospital, with businesses, schools, community groups and thankful families raising more than £250,000 for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
This year, for the second year running, almost 40 further giant snowflakes will also decorate the exterior of Crystal Peaks shopping centre throughout the Christmas period, forming an essential part of the Festive decorations at the mall when the Festive season officially begins on November 12.
And with current COVID-19 restrictions meaning the centre cannot host its usual star-studded celebration, The Children’s Hospital Charity’s mascot Theo the Bear will instead be invited to flick the switch and get the festivities started
“We are delighted to be joining The Children’s Hospital Charity again for this wonderful Christmas campaign,” said Crystal Peaks centre manager Lee Greenwood.
“Crystal Peaks sees itself as very much at the heart of the community and Sheffield Children’s Hospital touches the lives of so many people every year.
“We hope that our visitors will enjoy seeing the snowflakes and will want to support this great charity as much as we do.”
Sophie Coburn, Corporate Partnerships Officer for the charity, added: “We are so grateful to Crystal Peaks for having snowflakes on the centre for the second year running.
“Every penny raised will help us support Sheffield Children’s where it is needed most and help our current appeal to raise money to transform our Cancer and Leukaemia Ward.
“Thank you to all the stores and the team at Crystal Peaks – we can’t wait to see the snowflakes lit up.”
