Following the announcement that the Sheffield City Region Mayoral Combined Authority has agreed to proceed with the implementation of the Devolution Deal, Communities Secretary Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP said:
“I want to usher in a new era of devolution as we level up all parts of the country.
“Today represents a major step towards providing the people of South Yorkshire with £900m of additional funding to bring better jobs, transport and opportunities for the region.”
