Derbyshire Building Control Partnership (DBCP) has once again strengthened its ranks with the appointment of Keith Long, a Senior Building Control Surveyor covering Chesterfield and North Derbyshire.
Keith joins DBCP at a time of accelerated growth for the company. He is one of three new appointments since the start of the year brought on board to meet demand for building control services across Derbyshire from developers, builders and architects.
He brings more than 40 years of experience in the building control sector to the role. Previously employed in a senior position at Mansfield District Council, Keith is delighted to now join DBCP’s 16-strong team of building control surveyors.
He commented: “I’ve been in the building control sector for 43 years, so I’m both confident and passionate about doing a great job for DBCP’s clients across Derbyshire.”
DBCP is the recommended building control service provider in Derbyshire and is responsible for ensuring that all new construction, conversions, alterations and extensions are built to a minimum standard and meet certain health, safety and welfare standards.
Keith is the latest new appointment for DBCP which was formed in 2017 following the merger of six established Local Authority Building Control Services from Derby City Council, Chesterfield Borough Council, Derbyshire Dales District Council, North East Derbyshire District Council, Bolsover District Council and Amber Valley Borough Council.
Outside work, Keith who lives in Bradway, Sheffield, loves being outside and enjoys getting out into the garden. He is also a self-confessed car fanatic, particularly classic cars, and often visits motor shows across the country.
His appointment reflects the company’s ambitious expansion plans across the county. It is currently recruiting across both its offices in Derby and Chesterfield.
