Doncaster Chamber has announced the finalists for the Doncaster Business Awards. The awards celebrate the best practice and success exemplified in Doncaster’s business community.
Now in their 20th year, the Doncaster Business Awards have become the highlight of Doncaster’s business calendar. The finalists are competing for 11 award categories including Success in International Markets, Excellence in Customer Service and Large Business of the Year.
The Awards, sponsored by Doncaster College and University Centre, are renowned for their rigorous two–stage judging process. Each business firstly enters a written submission to be judged by 10 independent judges from Doncaster Chamber, Doncaster Council, Finance for Enterprise, Doncaster College and the British Chambers of Commerce. The finalists are then visited by another two judges, including the award category sponsor, to present on their business and answer further questions. A fair handicapping system is in place to ensure a level playing field for businesses of all sizes and sectors.
“Local businesses have a great story to tell and the Awards are a great opportunity for them to shout about their success and celebrate doing business in Doncaster,” says Rebecca Nightingale, Membership & Events Executive. “We have some very deserving finalists so I’m sure the final stage of judging will be hard fought between some of Doncaster’s best businesses to find the rightful winners.”
The winners and runners-up will be announced at the prestigious Doncaster Business Awards ceremony on Thursday 13 December at Doncaster Racecourse. It has grown to become the UK’s largest Chamber awards night with over 900 expected guests. It’s an opportunity for businesses to entertain clients, thank staff and celebrate doing business in Doncaster.
The evening includes the awards ceremony, a three course dinner, live music, dancing, a fun casino and entertainment village. The black tie event will be hosted by Ben Hanlin, one of the UK’s leading illusionists.
