Sheffield businesses have raised over £154,000 at annual golf days for Neurocare.
Businesses across Sheffield came together at Hallamshire Golf Club and battled it out on the 18-hole course.
The annual event, which has been supported by IFM Insurance Brokers since 2016, has raised a grand total of £154,000 and over £22,000 from the latest Golf Day alone.
The Golf Day attracted over 40 teams drawn from local South Yorkshire businesses that competed throughout the day.
The money raised was donated to Neurocare which supports the neurological centre of excellence at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which treats patients with a range of neurological conditions.
Clare Lambert, from Neurocare, said: “We are thrilled that following the Neurocare Golf Day, a fabulous £22,087 was raised and we are so lucky to have such generous supporters. Of course, none of this would be possible without the continued commitment and dedication of IFM. This brings their overall fundraising total to £154,002 after 6 years of sponsorship. We are so grateful and lucky to such amazing sponsors as IFM and look forward to the continued partnership of the golf day in 2023.
“We would like to thank everyone who attended on Friday, June 10, it was a wonderful day and your support will go such a long way to help those who need it most.”
Alister, Director at IFM said: “Due to the current economic outlook, charities are struggling more than ever to raise much-needed funds to continue their vital work. Neurocare is no different, and it gives us great pleasure to have raised the sum of £22,087 from this year’s golf day, and a total of £154,000 over the six years IFM have sponsored the event. Our thanks go out to the many businesses and individuals for continuing to give both their time and money to such a worthwhile cause.”
