Sheffield’s Culture Collective was launched on 12th September 2019. The Collective is an alliance between key leaders and cultural influencers within the city, comprising Sheffield City Council, Sheffield Theatres, Museums Sheffield, Site Gallery, University of Sheffield, Hallam University and many more.

By combining resources, experience and connections, the Collective aims to place culture at the very heart of our vibrant and inclusive city, and ensure it becomes a key component of the visitor economy, the Local Industrial Strategy and the Strategic Economic Plan for the wider city region.

To help shape and formalise our ambitious business plan and vision for culture in Sheffield, we are hosting two, free-to-attend workshops this autumn.

Open to all, the workshops will provide an opportunity to hear from those already involved in the Collective, plus a group discussion and Q&A session. We’ll discuss the current top priorities and challenges within the city, look at what small changes could make a big impact, and seek out any potential new opportunities.

Alexis Krachai, MD of communications company Counter Context, and a Collective board member explained:

“This is not an exclusive club and we are keen to welcome anyone who has the passion to help drive and inspire culture initiatives in Sheffield. Nowhere in the North is as creative, artistic, original and social as Sheffield – and our Collective has been formed to help capitalise on and maximise that great potential.”
