Henry Boot has become the newest strategic partner of LandAid after providing the charity with significant support over the last year.
LandAid bring the property industry together to support charities in delivering services for young people who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.
Ed Hutchinson, HBD MD, commented: “As a member of the LandAid Regional Board, I was delighted to support the Sleep Out and was really proud of all the Henry Boot team that took part and the fantastic amount we raised.
“LandAid do incredible work supporting young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and we are pleased to do our bit to support their work.”
Paul Morrish, Chief Executive of LandAid, said: “LandAid is delighted to welcome Henry Boot as our latest Strategic Partner, and I would like to personally thank every individual who has taken up a challenge, helped promote our mission and donated to our cause.
“We have been astounded by the support over the past 12 months. Henry Boot’s help will ensure thousands of young people around the UK are provided with a safe home and an opportunity for a brighter future.”
A team from Henry Boot took part in Landaid’s SleepOut event in March, spending a night sleeping outside to raise money towards preventing youth homelessness.
For 2021, SleepOut took place virtually due to social distancing restrictions, with campaigners sleeping out in their garden’s balconies and patios.
The Henry Boot team raised more than £16,000 which helped take the total the company have raised for the charity over the past year to in excess of £30,000.
Paul Morrish added: “With the efforts of hundreds across the property industry, we have raised enough funds to be able to make a real difference to those who are young and homeless, by providing safe and secure accommodation.
