South Yorkshire’s leading independent pub, bar, and restaurant group is hoping to save Christmas after Tier 3 restrictions meant that loyal customers couldn’t have their Christmas dinner as planned.

The bookings team at True North Brew Co, who refer to themselves as Christmas elves, want to create some magic for those who have been left in limbo since the government announced that South Yorkshire would enter Tier 3 restrictions.

With Christmas Day looking very different this year, a team of chefs have put together a special festive three course meal that will be pre-cooked and ready to re-heat at home with step-by-step preparation instructions.

Order for two or feed the whole family a delicious three course feast with vegan and gluten free options available too. Adults meals are £30 per person and there’s a separate kids’ menu at £15 per head.

Starters include ham hock and pistachio terrine; smoked salmon and ricotta roulade; beetroot and chickpea samosas and a prawn cocktail with horseradish and whisky sauce.

Main courses are 28-day dry aged roast beef; Yorkshire bronze turkey; baked cod loin coulibiac and a vegan roast beef. All served with cauliflower cheese, shredded sprouts, roasted potatoes, pigs in blankets, stuffing balls, root vegetables and cider braised red cabbage.

Take your pick of Christmas pudding; treacle tart; baked white chocolate and cranberry cheesecake and cardamon and orange torte for your third course.

Emma Swales, Head of Elves and Business Development at True North Brew Co. said “We want to spread some positivity and ensure that everyone can have a Christmas dinner this year. For those that are vulnerable or self-isolating, we will be delivering parcels straight to their door.”

“We’ve already reached out to those who are booked to dine with us on Christmas Day and they’re absolutely thrilled that we can do this for them should our venues not be open.

Instead of Christmas crackers, True North are donating 50p from every dish to Shelter UK as part of the charity’s emergency coronavirus appeal.

True North’s Christmas elves are available from Monday-Saturday between 10am – 6pm to assist you with any questions you may have. Please give them a call on 0114 280 8222 or visit www.truenorthbrewco.uk/at-home for more information.

If you would like a break from the kitchen, have more time to enjoy the day and support a local independent business, book by 6pm on Saturday 16th December.

Parcel collections are between 9am – 12pm on 24th December from The Waggon and Horses, The Crown & Anchor and The British Oak.
