A family housing development in the village of Ingbirchworth has won a top prize in the Local Authority Building Control South Yorkshire and Humber Building Excellence Awards.

Summerford is a development of 13 detached properties in the village of Ingbirchworth near Penistone.

It is one of several hugely acclaimed ongoing projects in South and West Yorkshire from award-winning property developer Conroy Brook, in conjunction with joint venture partner Keyland Developments Ltd (sister company to Yorkshire Water) under their Small Sites Initiative, intended to breathe new life into redundant or surplus Yorkshire Water sites.

The site won the 11-20 homes New Housing Development prize in the awards ceremony at the Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort in Brigg.

Surrounded by the rolling hills of the South and West Yokshire border and adjacent to the magnificent Ingbirchworth reservoir, with its open water and diverse wildlife, Summerford has proved to be a desirable location for buyers.

All 13 homes were architect designed and built in natural stone by craftsmen and fitted out to a very high standard with Siematic kitchens and Laufen bathrooms, ash and glass staircases and hardwood finishes throughout.

“These properties were built and finished to fastidiously high standards, and are, without question, some of the best value family homes in the country,” said Conroy Brook CEO Director Richard Conroy.

“We are delighted that once again our meticulous attention to detail and insistence on maintaining the highest standards throughout the whole design and building process has been recognised.”
