One of the most talked about developments on the Sheffield skyline will attract further global interest having launched a revolutionary new online booking system.
New Era Square, the focal point of the ‘Sheffield Chinatown’ development which is transforming St Mary’s Gate close to the city centre, has attracted multi-million pound investment from China into the Sheffield City Region.
And student residents at the landmark project are now able to book and manage all their accommodation needs online after the launch of a bespoke booking system created for New Era by Sheffield based creative and digital agency GDA.
“This new system gives students the ability to book and manage all of their accommodation needs online,” said GDA Managing Director Alistair Farrant.
“It’s a global system so students anywhere around the world can arrange their accommodation well in advance of their arrival in Sheffield. It also features a full translation facility in order to give the best user experience.
“Students can select their accommodation preferences and choose from a range of add-ons such as cleaning and a laundry services.”
It has been developed to make the lives of international students – many of whom won’t come to Sheffield until their first day at University – and the New Era team more efficient.
“The system handles the tenancy agreements and rent payments, with all of the information securely stored online, so students can log on whenever they need to check their records or pay for the additional services offered by New Era” Alistair explained.
Jerry Cheung, Managing Director of New Era Development and New Era Student Living said: “We chose to work with GDA as they have built up many years’ experience in creating online booking systems for property development companies. This is their most comprehensive and inclusive project to date and is a fantastic resource for both our tenants and the team at New Era.”
And Marketing Executive of New Era, Caroline Foster, added: “Our aim is for New Era Square to be seen as the very best that Sheffield can offer on a global scale and this online resource is very much part of that.”
