A physiotherapy and wellness company has seen a boost in staff numbers and services due to the ‘demand to expand.’
Katie Bell Physiotherapy and Wellness has increased in size, from 36 Pilates classes and 26 staff, to 57 Pilates and yoga classes and 31 employees this year.
Originally from South Manchester, Katie Bell came to Sheffield Hallam University to study physiotherapy in 2005 and hasn’t looked back since.
After graduating in 2008, Katie worked for a private physiotherapy firm before setting up on her own in 2011.
Katie said: “I love Sheffield and am really passionate about delivering and offering services for health and wellbeing. I thought there was a gap in the market and I felt like my vision could fill this niche – we want people to move better, feel better and live better.
“There are not really any similar services in the postcode area, offering the whole package of physio, classes and nutrition. We are pleased that there is a demand for us to expand and that the community is focused on their health.”
Other recent developments include adding a variety of different services and classes for acute and sporting injuries.
And moving forward, Katie is also planning a physio-led running club.
“We held a charity run on a recent Bank Holiday,” she said. “It was a great community event and we want to be able to put on more like it. The run will take place again next year and our goal is to reach 500 runners.”
