Commercial law firm Dawson Radford is celebrating the launch of its new office premises after relocating and opening its doors in Barlborough.
Founder and local solicitor, Joanna Dawson brings over 14 years of experience in Company and Commercial Law, having previously being a partner at another East Midlands firm.
Jo began her empire as one woman operating from home, working with owners and senior directors of businesses, offering legal advice on a variety of business transactions. After just over two years, the business had grown rapidly – both with clients and the workforce, and Jo was faced with making the jump and relocating into commercial office space.
This move came in the form of Unit 26, Napier Court at Barlborough, and has enabled Jo to take on more work and more clients. Team members have also grown, through the promotion of Jean Holden to Senior Paralegal, and the appointment of two new interns following a successful recruitment drive through RISE Sheffield City Region. This fantastic opportunity allows them to gain a real insight into the current world of corporate law, and that much desired experience.
Jo said: “I really felt that now was the right time for us to take that step, to make it possible to continue to deliver high quality legal services to the local business community. We really do have some amazing businesses operating in this region, and I’m proud that we can deliver the high quality legal advice they need.
“Appetite for corporate transactions has certainly not dwindled, but clients appreciate that acquiring new businesses comes with a risk. They need an expert in their field who is going to guide them through the process, and they need to be able to trust their adviser to get them the best possible deal to set the scene for growing their business.”
