The management team at DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park Hotel in Batemoor have announced that the property has been sold and will close in early August, with new owners set to take over.
Hotel facilities will remain fully operational until the closure, with plans in place for the site to undergo redevelopment and reopen under a different brand in early 2026.
Staff are currently contacting guests with bookings beyond the closure date to discuss alternative arrangements on a case-by-case basis.
A Hilton spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park Hotel has been sold. The hotel will remain open, fully operational, and welcoming guests until early August. After this date, the hotel will close for redevelopment and reopen in 2026 under a different brand.
“Regarding bookings after early August, the team is contacting all guests in chronological order to discuss their options. We are also working to secure alternative accommodation and venues for all affected bookings.”
