The shortlist for the Sheffield Business Awards 2022 has been announced.
This year’s event, which will take place on Thursday, December 8 at Peddler Warehouse in Neepsend, is set to celebrate the very best in the city’s business community.
The event, now in its 20th year, is hosted by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and unLTD business magazine and is sponsored by CMS.
With 15 award categories, a wide range of businesses have been able to showcase their strengths and skills.
This year, three new categories have been announced in a bid to make the awards as inclusive and diverse as possible.
These include the Cultural Vibrancy award, the High Street Hero award and the Best Entrepreneur award.
The High Street Hero award seeks to recognise an independent retail, hospitality or leisure business that is playing a vital role in supporting the high street experience in Sheffield.
The Cultural Vibrancy award recognises an individual, business, organisation, community group, or initiative that has made a significant impact on Sheffield through arts, culture or events.
And the Best Entrepreneur award recognises enterprising and visionary individuals who are making waves in their industry and achieving high levels of commercial success through a culture of innovation and inspirational leadership.
Phil Turner, publisher of unLTD, said: “We have been so impressed by the quality and volume of applications this year and I would like to extend my congratulations to all the shortlisted applicants.
“Introducing new categories and being able to shine a light on diverse and less represented areas of business, like those on our high street and in our cultural sector, has been amazing.
“We are so lucky to have so much talent in our region and I can’t wait for us all to come together and celebrate in December.”
Sheffield stand-up comedian Tom Wrigglesworth has been confirmed as host for the evening, with food provided by Michelin Guide restaurant Jöro.
Pre-sale tickets are currently available for shortlisted businesses and any remaining tickets will be available for general sale ahead of the event.
Tickets are priced at £99 and include food and welcome drinks.
