Fans of snooker and Ronnie O’Sullivan are set to get their hands on a little piece of sporting history, thanks to the team at Redtooth Memorabilia.

The company, which has a store called The Fan Cave within Meadowhall Shopping Centre, have purchased the waistcoat that sent snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan into the record books yet again when he became the first snooker player to make 1,000 competitive centuries.

The five-time world champion reached the landmark during the last frame of the Players Championship final in Preston, UK, on Sunday 10 March. O’Sullivan also went on to win the tournament with a 10-4 victory over Australia’s Neil Robertson.

The waistcoat is set to be divided into a limited number of pieces, which will all be framed with a certificate of authenticity and available to purchase by snooker fans around the world from The Fan Cave shop or from the company’s website www.thefancavememorabilia.co.uk

Redtooth Memorabilia, which is based in Barlborough, provide and sell authentic memorabilia from stage, screen and sports as well as supplying live or silent auctions for all size of events. The business also incorporates a framing company.

Dan Hoyland, Co-owner at Redtooth Memorabilia said: “It has been a pleasure working with Ronnie O’Sullivan to secure his waistcoat.

“Snooker players are renowned for their smart attire and this is definitely a record-breaking piece of clothing!

“As well as being framed, the pieces will come with photographic evidence of Ronnie handing the waistcoat to us, as well as a certificate of authenticity, so buyers will know that they are getting the real deal!

“We know that Ronnie is a popular figure within snooker and the sporting world, so we are expecting the demand to own one of these limited-edition pieces of sporting history to be very high.”
