The plan to open ten Thornbridge and Co. pub sites nationwide over the next five years is taking its next step forward. Thornbridge and Co. have acquired a site in the vibrant city of Leeds and will be opening their Birmingham site before the end of this year.
The team behind the Thornbridge and Co. sites are delighted to announce that they are now moving ahead with their Birmingham site, The Colmore, on Colmore Row, which will be set to open in November this year. The team behind The Market Cat in York have also secured a site in Leeds, The Bankers Cat, which will be located in the heart of the city centre on Boar Lane and is also due to open before Christmas.
Both venues will follow in the footsteps of the highly successful Market Cat, offering beautiful décor, an enviable drinks selection and outstanding food. Thornbridge and Co. are proud to support the local beer scene, having recently sponsored Leeds international Beer Festival.
Simon Webster, CEO of Thornbridge Brewery says: “Our York site has had great success and we are thrilled to have secured a site in Leeds, it’s a fantastic city with so much going on and an incredibly passionate craft beer community. We’re also really pleased to be moving ahead with Birmingham as we know how much excitement there was when we first announced we’d be opening in the city.
Jamie Hawksworth, Owner and Director of Pivovar says: “Both pubs will serve fantastic craft beer, hand picked wine, spirits and soft drinks and become an integral part of the thriving community in both Leeds and Birmingham. As we have done with the Market Cat we want to create visually stunning venues, where people can relax and indulge in all that we have to offer.”
The journey will continue with Thornbridge and Co. looking to open sites in Manchester and Sheffield next year.
