Innovative waste management company, Ellgia Recycling Ltd. has become a patron member of Doncaster Chamber. The new partnership will enable them to open up new business opportunities and engage with other like-minded business people and institutions within the community who are working for the greater good.

Ellgia uses the latest technology to design bespoke waste solutions for businesses in the UK. They are currently doing 15,000 lifts per year in Doncaster and recently won the waste contract at the Keepmoat Stadium. They have also organised a visit to their site in Scunthorpe for students at Doncaster School for the Deaf to understand the importance of recycling and the environment.

Says Jack Lavington, Operations Director for Ellgia: “The company is a great believer in being fully immersed within not only the business community but also the communities it operates within.

“Waste management has never been more important than it is now. The directors are never standing still as we continue to see further investment and expansion of our waste management functions to run alongside our SRF (solid recovered fuel) and RDF (refuse derived fuel) lines.”

Ellgia were runners-up in the Doncaster Business Awards 2018 for Excellence in Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility, sponsored by Yorkshire Bank.

Says Dan Fell, CEO of Doncaster Chamber: “We are delighted to welcome Ellgia as patron members of Doncaster Chamber to engage more with us and our 700+ member businesses.  We are also pleased that Ellgia want to engage so proactively with our work supporting Doncaster’s education community and young people. Myself and colleagues recently visited their impressive site in Scunthorpe to see the innovative work they are doing and were extremely excited to see how they are working with their clients to deliver sustainable and cost effective ways of recycling and disposing of waste.”
